Crafton-Preyer Theatre, Murphy Hall
Twins! More twins! Women"chased and chaste! The first musical ever adapted from Shakespeare remains the most madcap musical farce ever to animate the stage. "The Boys from Syracuse" tells the story of two sets of identical twin brothers who are separated from each other in a shipwreck as young children. Antipholus of Syracuse and his wily servant, Dromio, are traveling in search of their long lost brothers. When they arrive in Epheseus a comedy of errors and mistaken identities ensues: perplexed wives, disgruntled courtesans, and outraged constables are left in its wake before this show's tangled web is unraveled. "The Boys from Syracuse" is being staged in rotating repertory with "The Comedy of Errors" as part of Kansas Classical Repertory Theatre's founding mission to explore the theme of translation and adaptation.
