<p>The Kansas Law Review will host its annual symposium on October 9, 2026. The symposium, entitled "Voting Rights in a Post-Callais World," will center conversations on the recent Louisiana v. Callais decision and its impact on voting rights legislation and litigation across the country. Panels throughout the day-long event will provide a comprehensive picture of the current understanding of the future of the federal Voting Rights Act, state VRA analogues and election-related state and federal legislation.</p>

<p>Scholarship associated with the symposium will be published in a spring 2027 edition of the Kansas Law Review.</p>

<p>The symposium is sponsored by the Shook, Hardy &amp; Bacon Center for Excellence in Advocacy.</p>
