Virtual career fairs are online events that allow employers and students to meet in virtual environments, such as voice calls or video chat rooms, and offer a number of advantages to both students and employers. Students benefit by saving valuable time, which can be used on employer research and practicing elevator pitches. Moreover, students have the opportunity to meet with a wider range of employers, some of whom may not typically attend an all-day on-site event.
For the Business Career Fair, students will be able to select meeting times beginning Sept. 11 until Sept. 17. Career Fair Plus primarily will be appointment-based with one-on-one 5-minute live video interactions between students and employers through pre-booked individual meetings. There may be some employers that will have a drop-in room for students who did not pre-book an appointment.
