Please join us for the 2023 Budig Teaching Professorship in Special Education Lecture featuring Gregory A. Cheatham, associate professor in the Department of Special Education.

Cheatham will present “Process, Academic Writing for Special Education Majors: Successes and Challenges” at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 in 150 Joseph R. Pearson Hall. The hybrid event is free and open to the public. Individuals interested in attending in person or virtually are encouraged to RSVP now on the event page and mark their calendars. In his presentation, Cheatham will discuss undergraduate and graduate writing in special education. “As the saying goes, ‘thinking is writing, and writing is thinking,’” said Cheatham. Both successes and challenges of a process-writing approach with a focus on rhetorical structure will be presented and opened up for discussion with attendees.
