About this Event
The AIA Dallas Education Outreach Committee and Architecture and Design Exchange (AD EX) invite all high school juniors and seniors to our annual college fair. The in-person event will include practicing architects, interns, current students, professors from local universities, and representatives or alumni from universities offering a degree in architecture. Students, parents, teachers, and counselors will be able to ask questions, receive first-hand information on what it takes to become an architect and learn the specifics on how each university architectural program is unique.
Students will gain knowledge on the path an architecture student takes upon graduating college: internship development requirements, the licensing process, professional practice, and the organizations that support their career. Plus, we’re giving away some great prizes – you won’t want to miss it!
Students, parents, teachers, and counsellors will join the event in-person, with universities joining either in person or giving a livestreamed group presentation. To accommodate distancing, we ask that students, parents, teachers, and counsellors sign up for either a morning or afternoon timeslot.
School recruiters will livestream a 15-minute presentation to a group of students on a set schedule about post-secondary opportunities at the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Design.
