Andrea Capra holds a Ph.D. in Italian from Stanford University and is currently a Cotsen Postdoctoral Fellow in Princeton University’s Society of Fellows. His current book project is entitled Horror Beyond Horror: The Unraveling of the World in Modern Italian Literature, and analyzes how horror manifests in literary texts beyond the horror genre. Andrea also writes on technoscientific matters, with a particular focus on the storytelling surrounding artificial intelligence and transhumanism. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Modern Language Notes, The Cambridge History of the American Essay, Italian Quarterly, Angelaki, Studi Novecenteschi, Italianistica, and other venues.
