About this Event
The William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications is offering professional development webinars throughout the spring for alumni and industry professionals to learn more about analytics, inclusive messaging and digital storytelling. Those interested can sign up for one, two or all three sessions. The analytics and inclusive messaging sessions will be over Zoom. The digital storytelling workshop will be in-person on the KU campus:
Newsroom analytics webinar: In this Zoom session, Lisa McLendon and Gerri Berendzen will discuss what analytics measure, what the data can tell you and how to use that information to better reach your audience. 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23. Cost $10
Inclusive advertising webinar: In this Zoom session, Joseph Erba will discuss why representation in ads matters. How do various audiences respond to diversity in ads? How to create more inclusive ads? This workshop will address those questions and encourage content creators to think about various identities in the production of future advertisements. Noon, Friday, March 25. Cost $10
Digital storytelling: During this in-person session at the KU J-School, you will participate in hands-on sessions to learn more about storytelling through video, photography and graphic design.
