In this public scholarship and continuing education session, participants will learn about secondary occupational trauma, including its prevalence in child welfare and other social work practice domains and its implications for the profession, examine bodymapping as a tool for understanding their own embodiment of secondary occupational trauma, and experience a bodymapping process themselves, to glean insights about how bodymapping can be used with social work practitioners at risk of secondary occupational trauma.
