Capital Re-translated & the Late Marx: A Symposium

This two-day, interdisciplinary event will consist of a presentation by Dr. Paul North—co-editor of the new English-language translation of Karl Marx’s Capital, Volume 1 (Princeton 2024)—on the “standpoint” of Capital; a conversation with Dr. North and Dr. Paul Reitter—translator and co-editor of Capital—on their translation and on the process of translation; and a final presentation by Dr. Kevin Anderson—author of The Late Marx’s Revolutionary Roads: Colonialism, Gender, and Indigenous Communism (Verso 2025)—on Marx’s late writings. All events are free and open to the public and will take place at the Max Kade Center for German-American Studies. See below for event details.
