About this Event
Live Interactive Panel
In this discussion, we’ll examine how advanced technology changes the boundaries of what is possible in community-building, how moving a mutual aid innovation online altered how people experienced it—and each other—and how scholarly inquiry must evolve to equip practitioners with theories and evidence suited for the Grand Challenge of harnessing technology for social good. We’ll move beyond the adoption of telehealth service delivery to consider what we’ve learned and what we still need to explore, to understand how technology is transforming social interactions, social identities, and the social spaces in which social work happens—today and in the future.
