This 3-hour BSRB-approved Continuing Education session examines trauma-informed culture and equips social workers to apply the NASW Code of Ethics and a trauma-informed framework to common ethical dilemmas in organizational practice. The trainer has been a social worker and educator for 25 years, managing trauma-informed organizational development projects and trainings, informed by her years of experience in the KU School of Social Welfare, Kansas Governor’s Office, and Kansas Department of Corrections. Participants will develop specific strategies to improve and expand the application of trauma-informed principles to organizational culture—creating contexts that facilitate effective and ethical practice.
