About this Event
Featuring Bill Resh, C.C. Crawford Professorship in Public Management and Performance, Associate Professor at the Sol Price School of Public Policy, University of Southern California
Bill Resh will provide a broad overview of what is known and unknown about the deconstruction of the US Federal Government resulting from the actions of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Highlighting the ways that the actions of DOGE are standing to fundamentally reform the composition of the federal workforce, Resh draws on CLEAR Dashboard data to highlight the scope and implications regarding the draining of expert knowledge from federal government service. He will also consider additional sources of data presently available and new data sources being constructed to provide scholars of the US federal civil service with resources to carry out empirical studies of the impacts of DOGE actions on public service delivery. Resh will provide some insights into the types of questions that need to be asked at this time. Register to attend online.
Those registered for the webinar will be invited to join a network of researchers focusing on central questions relating to the activities of DOGE. This informal network will be apprised of emerging data sources and other resources to assist in their studies.
