Why should museums share as much material as they possibly can? How does this amplify their roles in society?

 

Open access at the Art Institute of Chicago centers three main efforts: images, data, and code. nikhil trivedi will talk through the achievements the Art Institute has made in sharing their work with the public, surprising outcomes, and how these efforts center purpose across the process. Refreshments provided.

 

nikhil trivedi (he/him) is the Director of Engineering at the Art Institute of Chicago as well as a facilitator, educator, and community builder. His experience planning and executing complex web projects has also brought him to work with institutions to create concrete plans around the healing and accountability from historic traumas like colonialism, slavery, genocide, and war.
