The Classics Department Annual Competitions include essay contests (open to any KU student) and sight translation competitions (for students enrolled in Latin or Greek courses). 

Winners receive cash prizes!

To sign up for our competitions Canvas site, please email touyz@ku.edu by April 7th. Entries to essay contests are due April 10th; Latin and Greek sight translation competitions will be scheduled the week of April 10th.
