About the KU ACMI

KU ACMI is a group of graduate students designed to bring awareness to the world of AAAPI (Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander) classical music composers through concerts and conferences. We celebrate the AAAPI musical culture and embrace traditions from all parts of Eurasia by featuring musicians of different races and nationalities worldwide. We aim to show the interaction, similarities, and unique identities of different musical cultures. We hope to promote cultural and artistic exchanges between the East and the West through our own solidarity.

Sponsored by KU ACMI, KU School of Music, KU Center for East Asian Studies, Kansas City Chinese Association, and the Institute of Chinese Language and Culture
