Instructors in different academic areas, teaching different courses, can help students make interdisciplinary connections by creating an experiential assignment that requires students from both courses to work together in teams.  We will use our own experience with cross-course team case competition and entrepreneurship project assignments for business and engineering students in BUS 200 and ENGR 1111 seminars as a jumping-off point for the discussion.  We will briefly cover the benefits and logistics of such an assignment, and then use facilitated discussion/activities to help participants generate ideas and work through implementation strategies. With Corey Behrens and Gowri Nagarajan, Self Engineering Leadership Program; Lisa Bergeron and Jennifer Harrison, Business Leadership.
