About this Event
This workshop will focus on common misdiagnoses of trauma, why inaccurate diagnoses occur, and how to accurately diagnosis trauma. To fully understand the trauma and adversity of our clients, we must understand it within the context of their family. The presenter will discuss strategies for assessing familial trauma and resilience and trauma-informed care as an evidenced-based model for working with youth and adults impacted by trauma. The workshop will discuss the trauma stress response and interventions to support individuals impacted by trauma triggers. Recipients will receive 6 hours of clinical diagnosis and treatment CEUs.
