 sent her Distinguished Professor inaugural lecture “What if Survivors Wr
 ote the Laws?  An Exploration of Tribal Statutes on Sexual Violence\,” a
 t 5:30 p.m. on Monday\, March 4\, 2024\, in the Malott Room at the KU Memo
 rial Union. The lecture is free and open to the public. \n\nProfessor Deer
  will share the results of her forthcoming publication based on a comprehe
 nsive review of Tribal Nations’ sexual assault statutes. The lecture wil
 l illuminate potential frameworks for addressing sexual assault in Tribal 
 courts in the 21st century by employing indigenous feminist legal theories
  about consent and sexual autonomy. \n\nPlease RSVP HERE.\n\nPlease note t
