With Femme Fest 4 we aim to create a safer space that centers Indigenous women & femmes and amplifies their music while also fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all. Our goal is to cultivate a feminist space around the joy of sharing music, a space where performers and attendees feel comfortable and, at the same time, honor the identities and boundaries of others. In purchasing or reserving tickets to this event, you agree to the following code of conduct:

Haskell’s Tommaney Library hosts Femme Fest 4. Haskell is a unique and diverse intertribal university committed to advancing sovereignty, self-determination, and the inherent rights of tribal nations. Founded in Lawrence, Kansas, in 1884 as a government boarding school named United States Indian Industrial Training School, Haskell has evolved over its 140-year history. Today, Haskell serves the educational needs of American Indian and Alaska Native people across the United States by offering innovative curricula oriented toward American Indian and Alaska Native cultures. We encourage Femme Fest 4 attendees to visit the Haskell Cultural Center & Museum to learn more about Haskell’s remarkable past through exhibits, collections, and archives of living tribal materials, traditions, and cultural arts.

Haskell Indian Nations University is operated under the U.S. Department of Interior (DOI) and the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). Haskell campus, in its entirety, is Federal Property.

• Visitors must adhere to the Notice of Federal Property for Dogs, Cats, and Other Domesticated Animals Article (signs posted)

Attendees are expected to engage in conduct and behavior that reflects Haskell’s institutional values of respect, cooperation, honesty, and responsibility. By attending Femme Fest 4, you agree to:

• Respect the physical and emotional boundaries of others.
• Respect the identities and backgrounds of others, including people’s pronouns.
• Respect the differing opinions and beliefs of others as long as those opinions and beliefs do not deny the humanity of others.
• Always ask for and receive verbal consent before physically touching or photographing another person.
• Take accountability for your words and actions and how they impact others, regardless of your intentions.
• Adjust your behavior to promote a safer space.

In the interest of maintaining a safer space, we will not tolerate the following:

• Discrimination, including, but not limited to, racism, sexism, classism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, sizeism, and religious intolerance
• Disruptive, distressing, threatening, or disrespectful behavior that jeopardizes the safety of Haskell students, performers or attendees
• Sexual harassment, including inappropriate and/or unwelcome comments and behaviors
• Hate speech
• Theft of money or property
• Cigarette, drug, or alcohol consumption
• Vaping nicotine, Cannabidiol (CBD), or Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)

We take these guidelines seriously. If you experience discrimination or harassment, please approach a Femme Fest 4 volunteer. Femme Fest volunteers are available to hear your concerns, attempt mediation, and find a solution that is in the best interest of promoting a safer space.

Femme Fest 4 organizers reserve the right to ask any attendees violating our safer space policy to change their behavior or leave the event.
