Please join us for the next Final Friday Ethics Hour. The KU Human Research Protection Program series focuses on ethical considerations for human subjects research. The March session will cover the IRB requirements for waiving or altering consent:

  • When a waiver of consent is and is not appropriate
  • Requirements for waiving consent
  • Considerations for waiving parent/guardian consent and/or child assent
  • Additional waiver of consent requirements including HIPAA and FERPA
