Tropy is a user-friendly, open-source software designed for organizing, annotating, describing, and managing archival research photos. Users can create metadata in any recognized schema; add custom fields, tags, notes, or other data; and perform other actions, such as grouping related photos into items and lists. In this session, participants will gain a solid understanding of Tropy and its functionality, and see how they may benefit from its features.

Tropy is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux at their website: https://tropy.org/. Tropy is a local application, so there is no need to set up an account. For this brief session, there is no need to have the software installed.
