This program provides a foundation of knowledge about gender identity and effective clinical practice to support transgender youth development and well-being. Social workers will learn about the research that identifies the range of gender-affirming care practices that contribute to healthy social and emotional development in trans youth and will gain concrete clinical tools for their own social work practice with trans youth and their families, within the Kansas policy context.
