Join the Toni Johnson Center for Racial and Social Justice as we welcome Haskell Indian Nations University faculty members Jimmy Lee Beason, II, of the Osage Nation and also a KUSSW alumnus, and Dr. Eric Anderson, of the Citizen Potawatomie Nation. The two share their knowledge on intergenerational and historical trauma of federal Indian boarding schools, including Haskell's history.

The date is significant because it's gaining attention as Orange Shirt Day of Remembrance: Every Child Matters, celebrated as a day to remember the thousands of children who were victims of Native American boarding schools in the United States and Canada.
