KU alum, Gabriel Rebeck, will discuss his diverse career experiences and how to translate foreign language skills into an international career. 

Gabriel graduated with a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures in 2008, and immediately began teaching English in Japan with the JET Program. He parlayed his three years teaching Japanese into a job with the Japanese  corporation, Education Communication Community, one of the leading educational institutes in Japan. 

After nearly 10 years in Japan, Gabriel returned to the United States and is currently the International Exchange Program Manager for the transnational, non-profit Laurasian Institute. Gabriel's varied career working overseas and with international partners is a great resource for students learning a foreign language and looking to start an international career.
