This year’s lecture titled “Bodily Sovereignty: Survivors and Justice” will feature Dr. Sarah Deer.
Dr. Deer is a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma and a University Distinguished Professor at the University of Kansas. Her award-winning book, "The Beginning and End of Rape: Confronting Sexual Violence in Native America," which is the culmination of over 25 years of working with survivors, will be available for purchase at the event courtesy of KU Bookstore. A book signing will follow the lecture.
