During Hawk Week, all new students will participate in Jayhawks Give a Flock, KU's bystander intervention program. Students participating in this program will gain the knowledge and skills to take action when they see behaviors that put others at risk for sexual assault. These skills include intervening in situations where others may be at risk of harm, speaking out against rape myths and sexist language, and supporting survivors of sexual violence. Students will participate in a 2 hour session with members of their living communities.

We recognize that some of the material in the training could be challenging for individuals. Every building location and session time will have advocates available. The advocates are trained campus and community members available to help process and support. Accommodations can be requested through the University Academic Support Centers (uasc@ku.edu). They are located in Room 22, Strong Hall 1450 Jayhawk Blvd.
