This latest event in our colloquium series is jointly presented with the Mathematics Department. Xuguang Wang who is the Director for the Consortium for Advanced Data Assimilation Research and Education (Cadre), the Robert Lowry Chair Professor and the Presidential Research Professor at the University of Oklahoma will present, "Multiscale Data Assimilation for Numerical Weather Prediction: challenges, recent progress and opportunities. 
As always, the lecture will begin at 3:30 in Malott 2001 and there is a pre-presentation reception with snacks in Malott 3022 at 3:00.
