 ty: Kerm Campbell graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering from KU in 19
 60\, followed by an MS degree from MIT. He served for 32 years at Dow Corni
 ng in Michigan\, the UK\, and Belgium.  While with Dow Corning\, he helped 
 develop trade relations for the company in the former Soviet Union (1970s) 
 and China (1980s).  He later served as CEO of Herman Miller before becoming
  an entrepreneur and starting Blackstar Farms in 1998 (premium wines\, reso
 rt and culinary programs).  While at KU he spent a great deal of time in th
 e School of Music and this had a significant impact on his life.  Mr. Campb
 ell will speak about how developing an understanding of geography and a var
 iety of cultures and developing a broad set of interests can pave the way f
 or serving many people and advancing the common good.
