This is the first keynote speech of  the Global Food (In)Security: Interdisciplinary Perspectives which will take place at KU and online.

Dr. Elisabetta Recine of University of Brasília, Brazil and the UN High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition/Committee on World Food Security will present Key Aspects Towards the Realisation of the Human Right to Adequate Food: A Global Perspective. Unfortunately, we have somehow come to accept the fact that millions of people have gone hungry throughout human history. Global commitments are renewed, yet the goals remain unmet. Why have we failed? Dr. Recine will present online. Her talk will be streaming at the Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center.
