The Pinning Ceremony formally recognizes students’ transition from didactic course work to full-time experiential learning. The end of the third (P3) year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program marks the end of classroom and laboratory learning. This transition to experiential education is a significant step in the professional development of the student pharmacist. During the fourth year, students apply the pharmacy practice skills and professional behaviors that have been developed within the School of Pharmacy to serving patients in various healthcare settings. At this time, it is important that students renew their personal commitment to professionalism.
