Lexi searches for answers about what happened to her best friend during that strange car ride to the movies. Foreboding builds through rapid dialogue and sneaky misdirections scattered amongst elements of classic slasher films. The Hookman myth advances this coming-of-age narrative, taking the audience on a journey into the unexpected and uncanny. This contemporary horror/dark comedy sheds light on how young people navigate friendship, loss, guilt, and unresolved trauma. Directed by Tiffani Brooks Hagan, a PhD student in the Department of Theatre & Dance.
