The Cofrin Logan Center for Addiction Research and Treatment at KU invites you to join us for our final Seminar Series event of the fall semester. Dr. Annesa Flentje (Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of California San Francisco) will present a talk on November 4th at 11:30 AM CT in Room 1031 of the Dole Human Development Center (1000 Sunnyside Ave). 

Talk Title: Understanding and Reducing Substance Use and Other Health Disparities Among Sexual and Gender Minority Individuals

Talk Description: This talk will describe what is known about contributors to substance use and other health disparities among sexual and gender minority people. The potential biological impacts of minority stress will be discussed. Further, a cognitive behavioral intervention to reduce minority stress will be described.
