#speakerStudents and faculty interested in learning about creating high-growth technology-based startups — either as a future founder or employee — are encouraged to sign up for KU Startup School. This 90-minute course runs for six weeks starting Sept. 15. Courses are at 6 p.m. each Thursday in Eaton Hall room 2. The course is taught by KU Engineering Research Professor Brian McClendon, co-creator of Google Earth, co-founder of Intrinsic Graphics and Keyhole, and an angel investor in many startups. Expect 1-2 hours of homework (videos/reading) based on Sam Altman’s videos from Stanford CS183 before each session. There is no cost for the course and it is not for credit. It’s intended for those with commitment and an interest in learning. Sign up: https://forms.gle/SgWGKR5RzKLfFAss9
