Join the Department of Religious studies for a conversation and lunch with Sarah Hoskinson, Religious Studies alumna and graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law.
Sarah Hoskinson is the Chief of Access to Justice Initiatives for the Kansas Judicial Branch and serves as Special Counsel to the Judicial Administrator. In her role she manages projects that reduce barriers to equitable and effective access to the court system. She also oversees administrative projects that fall within the broad range of legal, financial, and technological responsibilities of the Kansas Office of Judicial Administration.
Sarah has eleven years of experience working for the Kansas court system, and has worked at the municipal, state, and federal levels of government. Her prior experience includes attorney positions with the Kansas Supreme Court, the City of Manhattan, KS, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Bar Association of San Francisco's Homeless Advocacy Project. Sarah is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and holds a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from the University of Kansas. She's completed three years of national service in the AmeriCorps VISTA and Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps programs.
Sarah is a fifth-generation Kansan, raised in rural Burrton. She now calls Lawrence home, and appreciates every opportunity to help people participate more meaningfully in the justice system.
