The invitation-only event is open to award recipients and Deans Club members. The James Woods Green Medallion goes to donors whose lifetime contributions to KU Law exceed $25,000. The Deans Club includes donors whose annual gifts total $1,000 or more.

The Medallion Dinner also honors three Distinguished Alumni. The KU Law Distinguished Alumni Award is presented annually to KU School of Law graduates who have distinguished themselves through exemplary service to the legal profession, their communities, the university, and the state or country.
