The raid of the Marion County Record in the summer of 2023 spotlights just one of the potential perils journalists face as they gather and report the news in the face of shifting social, political and technological landscapes. From unlawful searches, seizures of newsrooms and the artificial intelligence revolution to physical harassment and calls for violence online, the facts and those who report them are under attack like never before.
