As a new faculty member at the University of Kansas, you are invited to apply for funding to help build a sustainable research program at KU.

You may be eligible for up to $10,000 in New Faculty Research Development (NFRD) Award funding during your first 2 years as a tenure-track faculty or unclassified academic staff member on the Lawrence or Edwards campus. 

The Office of Research anticipates issuing 12 awards this fall.

The NFRD Award is designed to to help faculty begin building a sustainable program of research, scholarship and/or creative activity. Potential outcomes could include publications, conference papers, presentations, websites, technologies or techniques, databases or datasets, physical collections, audio or video products, educational aids or curricula, or proposal to an external funding opportunity.
