Co-hosted by the KU Departments of Geology and Visual Art, New Geologies: Xeno Earth is a symposium that converges researchers in the arts and sciences to explore post-natural perspectives in geology and foregrounding the deep and expansive reach of human activity within Earth systems. The symposium will unfold through a series of events and activities including a lecture + panel discussion, an exhibition, a reading group, and a field trip to local sites of post-natural geological interest.
Please join us on April 4 at 6:00PM for a lecture and panel discussion with our three invited speakers: artist John Roloff, curator Oscar Salguero, and KU planetary scientist, Dr. Claire Marshall.
