Join students in ENGL 360/EVRN 420: Writing and Ecology for an end-of-semester poetry reading in the Weaver Courtyard garden.

The poets:

Madison Holloway - Madison's independent study in poetry explores heartbreak and personal identity, often in quotidian detail. She will share pieces from a variety of projects which especially highlight her practice of somatic centering with the natural world as a method of intuitive healing.

Darian Martin - Darian wrote an honors thesis in poetry. His thesis explores themes of seasonal depression, the joy that comes with Spring after months of wintering, as well as humans' ecological footprint on the planet.

Josh Rubino - Josh's honors thesis in poetry focuses on working towards a less myopic understanding of the ways more-than-human beings and phenomena intermingle around him in unexpected, rhizomatic ways. His work deals with the way death--in various forms-- manifests into life, and how, often, this constitutes a kind of haunting.
