During this special edition of Pop Up Science, travel back in time around 35 million years ago to explore the ancient island of Balkanatolia. Visitors of all ages will enjoy our interactive island biogeography game, where players can explore how species arrived there. 

Then see our new exhibit, “Fossil Mammals from Turkey,” where you can examine specimens from a newly discovered group of fossil mammals and investigate how teeth are used to identify different mammal groups. Plus, meet KU graduate students & learn about ongoing vertebrate paleontology research at the site.
