Join KU Libraries for a Presidents Day (Feb. 19) celebration, including a president-themed musical performance by Coreopsis and a showcase of presidential materials from the Kenneth Spencer Research Library. Listen to a selection of folk-like tunes from the Lawrence-based trio and browse the distinctive collections from 3:30-5 p.m. in Spencer’s beautiful North Gallery. The event is free and open to the public through the main entrance on the south side of the building along Poplar Lane, near Strong Hall. Paid parking for non-KU pass holders is available in the Mississippi Street Parking Garage.

Coreopsis is KU Libraries’ Head of Conservation Services Whitney Baker (accordion), Lauralyn Bodle (fiddle), and Noah Musser (guitar). The band plays a variety of traditional music, including American old-time, Celtic jigs, French-Canadian reels, as well original compositions.
