This panel will focus on individuals' experience trying to access and engage with the mental health care system as a queer and/or trans person who also identifies as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color.
The event will provide attendees with some tools to navigate engagement with health care systems, such as selecting providers, addressing inadequate care, or discrimination while holding multiple marginalized identities. There will be a panel of mental health care providers from Kansas and Missouri to discuss these topics and for a Q&A. Food will be provided. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Registration for the event can be completed here through Eventbrite.
Co-sponsored by: Office of Multicultural Affairs, Counseling & Psychological Services, Center for LGBTQ+ Research & Advocacy, Satori Counseling Services
