Graduate Recognition & Awards Ceremony 2025

You are cordially invited to our annual Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, May 1st, 2025 at 4:00 PM in the KU Union’s Malott room. The department’s tradition is to host this annual event in order to recognize our graduating seniors and to award our most outstanding students for their excellent work studying Spanish and/or Portuguese. We will also celebrate the outstanding teaching and research achievements of our graduate students and congratulate those who have completed their degrees in our department. For graduating seniors, please invite any friends or family who you would like to bring to the ceremony. 

There will be appetizers served after the ceremony, which offers a unique opportunity for your family to meet the professors with whom you have worked during your time studying Spanish and/or Portuguese at KU.
