This 90 minute workshop designed for people who know nothing about 3D printing.

The first hour of the workshop will cover:

    -What is 3D printing?
    -Types of filament
-How a 3D model is made?
    -3D printing software
   - Makings and learning from mistakes

The last 30 minutes of the workshop will be dedicated to making a lithophane from an image to be printed on the printers in the Makerspace. It is recommended participants bring their personal laptop with an image (jpg or png) no larger than 3x5 inches  to convert into a lithophane. Laptops will be provided for those that need one.

This workshop is limited to 5 participants.

The workshop will take place in the KU Libraries Makerspace (203 A-C), located on the 2nd floor of Anschutz Library. If you are in need of accommodation, please contact the KU Libraries Makerspace  - libmakerspace@ku.edu.
