Join us in helping monarch butterflies and pollinators by adding 2,000 native plants to one of Lawrence’s most beloved parks. The Kansas Biological Survey & Center for Ecological Research (KU) is leading a project to plant 11 acres with native wildflowers and grasses at the Mutt Run Dog Park at Clinton Lake. This is the first of two volunteer opportunities to help improve habitat at this newly seeded grassland. It's a great activity for all ages - bring the kids!

Register: Email Jennifer Delisle (jdelisle@ku.edu) so we know how many to expect (not required).

Wear: Long pants, closed-toed shoes, work gloves, hat.

Bring: Sunscreen, water, insect repellent and a trowel (if you have one).
Other tools provided.

Project partners: Douglas County Heritage Conservation Council; City of Lawrence Parks & Rec; Jayhawk Audubon Society, Monarch Watch, Native Lands LLC.
