In June 2024, the Supreme Court overturned the Chevron ruling that had been in place since 1984. While immediate effects may slight, the case will be made that the overturning of Chevron is part of a larger legal pattern that weakens federal agencies, makes politicians more powerful, and erodes the foundations of modern federal administration.
