Workshop Wednesday series featuring John McEwan.

This workshop will guide participants through the process of converting a collection of research notes and documents into a database. We will begin by exploring the benefits of organizing information in a database and discuss approaches to data modeling, curation, and cleaning. Focusing on historical material, we will also address issues related to fuzzy and incomplete data, and how these challenges affect data use in research. Finally, we will apply these concepts by exploring different database software options.

Registration is strongly encouraged.
